After scouring the back streets of Madrid in search of the rare cookies baked by nuns, we ate at the world's oldest restaurant, took in some famous art at the Prado Museum, and went on an evening tapas tour.

After landing in Madrid at Midnight, we got to our hostel and grabbed a little sleep before heading out to take our first Sandeman’s Free Walking Tour. It was a long day.

We enjoyed our tour with The Land of Dracula Tours so much, that we signed up for another one, this time to visit the Saxon villages of Sighisoara and Viscri, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Days 208 & 209. 

The Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque are two places that everyone says you have to visit when you're in Istanbul. Because we were enjoying a leisurely pace while we were in Istanbul, we waited until our last few days to explore these iconic tourist attractions.
