Bali
When we say Bali, we really mean Ubud Village. We settled in to a nice villa just outside of the town for three weeks. We spent a lot of time just existing, and this is where we really started to appreciate slow travel.
Which isn’t to day we were totally sedentary. We did see many interesting sights in the surrounding countryside, and even took time to be attacked by monkeys in the Sacred Monkey Forest.
We also met and hung out with a number of other traveling families, which was a welcome bit of socializing for both kids and adults.

A Great Map of Ubud Village
When you're in Ubud, it's helpful to know where things are. For this purpose, many people (including us) like to use a map, and this map from the H.I.S. Travel Agency in Japan is one of the most fun and most informative available.
I rode on a scooter. It was fun. I was scared at first, but I got over it. It’s like sitting in a car except no top of the car and no windows to roll down.

A Day of Lasts
