Panama
We only spent three days in Panama. We arrived via bus before dawn and spent the day on a tour of Panama City. On our second day, we visited the old parts of the city.
We realized we had another whole day to spend in Panama City and didn’t really have a plan. So we signed up for a last minute tour of Lake Gatún and the surrounding Panamanian jungle with Captain Carl of Jungle Land Panama, which turned out to be great fun.

We wanted to visit the fish market we'd seen yesterday (Mercado de Mariscos), which was near Casco Viejo, and we wanted to visit our first UNESCO site, Panamá Viejo—and to do that we were going to need a taxi.
Thursday, 28-08-2014. Day 9. Crossroads of the Americas.
We arrived in Panama City at 5:00 a.m. We couldn't check into where we were staying until 5:30 p.m., so we spent 12 hours taking in the sights.
