Way back in 2015, I wrote about this world-traveling family’s 20 Most Memorable Moments of 2014. But our journey had only just started — we continued hopping across the globe for a good portion of 2015. Here are the 35 things we experienced in 2015 that we regularly talk about.

After leaving England, we had a three-day layover in Iceland, a small island country the locals call a land of ice and fire. On our first day, we got the lay of the land in Reykjavik, along with a history lesson or two, and some delicious hot dogs.
Way back around the year 120, Roman Emperor Hadrian built a giant wall too keep the wildmen out of the northern border of the Roman Empire. Parts of that wall still stand today.
During our 333-day trip around the world, I filmed one second of video for each day we were traveling. Well, kind of. When it was all over, all that footage was turned into a six-minute video that nicely chronicles our journey. And you can see that video right here.
We really wanted to see the Australian Open, and we found out that The Sportsman, an expat bar in the Sukhumvit area would be . But how to get there? None of us felt like negotiating with and being scammed by another taxi driver. But, fortunately, the Khlong Saen Saep Express Boat was just up the road.
Despite the title, this post won't be about food. That's coming later. Instead, it's about some of the events and things we saw while we were on our food tour in Bangkok.
We venture out into the neighborhood again to visit Thip Samai (a restaurant that sells the best pad thai in the world) and then climb the Golden Mount Temple—but not before we unsuccessfully tried to buy beer.
On our first day we learned that Bangkok isn't really called Bangkok, that the city is hot and humid, and that negotiating taxi fares is a pain. We also experience our first Bangkok street scam—but don't take the bait.
We didn't do much on Day 160. The girls got massages (again) and we ate pizza at Belmiro's for the last time, because the next day we'd be leaving Cambodia for Thailand.
Today we had another tour with Dani of Bees Unlimited, this time we'd scheduled his Discover Siem Reap Tour. It didn't start until 2:00 p.m., though, so we had plenty of time to walk into old town for an early lunch at Haven, Siem Reap's trendiest eatery.
Dani from Bees Unlimited takes us on a walk deep into the forests surrounding Angkor Thom. We saw a lot of cool things tourists don't ususally see.
Every so often we find a local organization that Frankie can join up with for a little while to actually play a game against other kids. And that's just what happened in Siem Reap.
This was the last day our passes to Angkor Archaeological Park were valid, so once again we hired Dara to take us around the "Grand Tour Circuit," this time on his tuk tuk. He picked us up at 8:30 a.m. in front of the hotel, and in short order, we headed off to Angkor.
For the next three days, we didn't do much of anything.
