Romania
Romania surprised us. At the time of our trip, it was a popular destination for long-term travelers. In fact, we had arranged to meet a number of other traveling families there.
We were also delaying our entry into the Schengen Zone, and Romania was a perfect choice for that — Europe-adjacent but outside of Schengen.
So we didn’t really know what to expect, but we ended up really enjoying our 10 days there.
