Hygge in effect! We spent three days in Copenhagen in the middle of Distortion, a 5-day heavy metal festival that took place just outside our apartment. But such chaos only enhanced enjoyment of our stay.

That apartment, by the way, included a retro video game console filled with every retro video game you could imagine. Add to the equation plenty of smørrebrød and a few unique beers (along with a few candles), and we were definitely feeling a little hygge.

Experiencing Hygge in Copenhagen

Denmark is regularly at or near the top of all those lists of the happiest nations on Earth. We’re still not sure why that is for sure, but it has a lot to do with a little things called hygge, so we went looking for some hygge of our own.
