An Update On Re-Entry
Meanwhile, Back in the States ...
Here's what's been going on.
You may have noticed things have been a little quiet around here lately. Although we returned to the United States on July 19, re-entering the U.S. after a year abroad has been a little more challenging than we expected and re-integrating with a non-traveling society is taking more of our time than we thought it would (especially that part about filing taxes).
We're not quite back in our home yet (our renters left at the end of September and we've taken the opportunity of an empty house to have some much-needed work done), but we're close. In the meantime, we've been jumping from one Airbnb apartment to another as we get used to juggling work and school and extracurricular activities—all while owning just one car (in Los Angeles ... crazy!).
In short, we've been feeling overwhelmed the past few months and finding time to write the final stories of our trip hasn't been easy. Life on the road was a lot simpler.
But starting next week, we'll resume regular updates here to finish up the last 20 or so days of our trip and then continue with news of what's next for our adventurous family.
Thanks for your patience. In the meantime, here's a picture of a cat from Barcelona.
