India in Pictures.
India is unlike any other country we've visited. Here's a little of what we saw during our eight days touring the "Golden Triangle."

Our last three days in India sort of bunched together. One day we did nothing but make the six-hour journey from Jaipur to Delhi. Then we spent a day catching up on some of the sights we'd missed the first time around, and tried unsuccessfully to explore the neighborhood a little bit. Then we ate at India's best restaurant and got ready for our departure to Istanbul.
Our journey through Jaipur continues with a visit to the ancient celestial observatory known as the Jantar Mantar.
Our first stop on our day-long tour of Jaipur was the Amber Fort, also called the Amer Fort or the Amber Palace, home of the Rajput Majarajas.
The drive from Agra to Jaipur is about a five-hour drive. But we did it in 10 because we stopped twice along the way to see some cool sights.
After a long drive through the Indian countryside, we arrived in Agra and visited the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal, which is more amazing than you think it is.
Our first day in India was a tour of Delhi, both old and new, and included some amazing architecture, a smattering of history, and even a forced sales opportunity.
